There is a million dollar bounty on the heads of twelve of Jamaica’s most wanted. Five of these men, wanted for murders, shootings, and robberies, are between the ages of 19 and 24. The police issued their names, in the hope they will "get the support from the media and the public to help in catching these persons".
The young men are 24 year-old Eldon Calvert of an unknown address in St. James and 23 year-old Kemor Brooks aka Problem Child of Greenwich Town, Kingston. Both are wanted for several counts of murder and shootings and are no strangers to list of most wanted in Jamaica. Willberforce Matterson aka Cracker of a Portmore address, 20 year-old Richard Brown aka Jessie and 19 year-old Carey Rose aka Tyson who is wanted for the murder of Sergeant Egerton Brown close the list of the five most wanted young men in Jamaica.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Denver Frater, these young men have relocated to ‘quiet communities’ and are armed, dangerous and mobile.
The police say the release of these names is the first stage of a set of measures that will be implemented to curtail the rising crime in the island. The bounty offered for each of the wanted men is $1 million.
